"Castile" soap is soap that's made primarily from olive oil, named after the Castile region of Spain where it originated.
While all of our soap are made with olive oil, we make a point of calling our liquid soaps Castile to differentiate them from most of the hand and body washes on the market. 95% of them are not actually soap at all - they're detergents, concocted from a slew of chemicals including sodium lauryl sulfate.
Our liquid soaps have the same rich blend of natural oils and other nourishing ingredients as our bar soaps, and the same rich moisturizing lather.
Plus - and this is really important - they are real soap.
